Alessandra Sulpy has taught Drawing and Painting in a university setting for 8 years, and is in her 7th year of full-time teaching. She is currently an Instructor at Winona State University, and teaches Drawing and Painting courses.
Fall 2017 at Winona State I have been strongly focusing on color mixing and theory with students this semester, and teaching each of my classes observational skills. These skills are crucial and will be built upon by students in subsequent years, lessening the need for so many observational still-lives. After midterm, we will focus on more creative and independent works. I have also included examples of some of the clean-up and organizational work I have been doing (with considerable help from my husband Sean, my work-study Faith Beiswanger, and head of facilities Mike Christensen.) This is an incomplete picture of the work we have done, but is representative of what has been completed so far.
