Show reception is this Wednesday (January 18) from 5-7 - come check out my work (Rowe Upper Gallery) and painter Andrew Leventis' beautiful work in the downstairs Rowe gallery. I also want to share with you some of the beefcake magazines that helped shape ManSuch. These magazine covers are difficult to improve upon - they are coy, camp perfection (and quite prescient by the number of ferns on their covers!).

Good gravy, I knew I was out of date, but I last updated this a YEAR ago? Oi. Well, in this past year I've done a few cool things - I've moved from South Bend to Charlotte NC where I now teach full-time in Foundations at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. I LOVE it here. I've also 'finished' my fern series (for the time being), began a new series ("Beefcakes"... more on that later....) and am currently working on the opening of a new, big show here at UNCC, where I have on display about 30 paintings through January.
Been having a great time playing with big new toys (mostly screenprinting & more laser cutting) with lots of help from amazing UNCC students. Stay tuned for images from the show, hopefully before 2018... |
