With the semester over, it's time to get back into that studio and get painting 24/7 (if I can break the habit of falling asleep on the couch mid-day, that is). I've got a few tricks up my sleeve and can promise these paintings are only going to get gaudier and louder...
Plus, some great news! I'll be exhibiting my Facades series in a solo show at the Winona Art Center in January. Opening night and artist talk TBA! Look for a painting or two of mine in the awesome-Kjellgren-Alkire-curated Landscape Show opening at Some Sum and Lyon Smith Galleries in downtown Winona next month.

I'm excited to be at Winona State University for the 13-14 academic year, teaching drawing and painting. It's 11/11, and fittingly enough for Minnesota it will be 11 degrees tonight. My bets are that I'll survive the MN winter, but you may have to surgically remove me from my largest coat come May. Maybe June. |
