It's been a while since I've posted; largely because I've been busy at work teaching drawing and painting at IUSB and working on a couple of new paintings - check out Lost Weekday and Hai Karate under new work!
Some of my most exciting news come out of new toys - namely Liquitex spray paint and EL (electroluminescent) wire. Both have opened up my paintings to new, even 'louder' textures - the OPEN sign on Lost Weekday is intended to be viewed with the wire on and glowing, blinking every second. With a big shipment of new and even brighter EL wire on it's way, expect the creation of even more obnoxious paintings! If you're in the area, check out the always fabulous Susquehanna University's Lore Degenstein Gallery for the Sixth Annual Juried Figurative Drawing and Painting Exhibition, up until December 5. I'm in the show, as well as my talented friends Jen Brown, Lisa Gostev and winner Joel Dugan!
